Birth and the fourth trimester are threshold moments, often tender and disorienting, where being truly seen and gently supported matters more than being told what to do. There are times when everything feels raw and unfamiliar, and what helps most is having someone steady beside you who knows how to listen and respond with care.

It’s in these moments that I found my calling, supporting families in a space where reassurance, presence, and emotional care are often missing.

I’m Nina, a DONA-certified birth and postpartum doula and trained Newborn Care Specialist. I began this work in 2017 after a life-changing birth experience that reshaped my understanding of what meaningful support can look like during profound life transitions. Since then, I’ve dedicated my practice to offering calm, compassionate, and judgment-free care tailored to each family’s unique needs.

My approach is rooted in the Birthing From Within philosophy and grounded in evidence-based care. I support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with a focus on emotional wellbeing, informed decision-making, and respect for each family’s individual experience.

I work with first-time parents, experienced parents, single parents, LGBTQ+ families, and surrogates, and I have experience supporting high-needs pregnancies and postpartum mood disorders. I provide care across home, hospital, and birth center settings, meeting families where they are, both physically and emotionally.

My specialty is overnight postpartum care. These quiet hours can be some of the most vulnerable. Having someone present who can calmly care for your newborn while you rest can ease anxiety, support recovery, and help you feel more grounded as you adjust to life with a new baby.

My focus is on listening without projection, responding with care, and creating an environment where you feel safe, respected, and truly supported during this profound transition.
